How to make your own home-made yogurt

Yogurt is a great source of probiotics--these are the "good bacteria" necessary for intestinal health and proper systemic immunity and metabolism.

Ingredients:

  • milk--approximately 1/2 gallon
  • some yogurt

Preparation:

  • Put your milk in a pan and bring it up to 180 degrees--you must stir the milk constantly to prevent it from burning on the bottom.
  • Let it cool to 120 degrees.
  • Mix in about 1/2 to 1 cup of yogurt.
  • Place in oven heated to 120 degrees for 15 minutes.  Then let it sit for about 10 hours (overnight).
  • Your yogurt should be good to eat once it is chilled.
  • You're finished--you just made your own yogurt.
